Ana Gaviria was the First Lady of Colombia from 1990 to 1994, and the wife of César Gaviria.
When her husband struggled to take a stand on the issue of extradition, she told him that his fear of Pablo Escobar is what will make him stronger. As Escobar's political violence intensified, she and her children were separated from her husband for their safety. The family reunited once César Gaviria won the elections.
