Arturo Beltrán Leyva (September 27, 1961-December 16, 2009) was a Mexican drug trafficker and a faction (Beltran-Leyva Cartel) leader under the Sinaloa cartel. Until 2008 when they split from the Sinaloa Cartel and the war erupted inside the Sinaloa Cartel. He has three brothers Alfredo (El Mochomo) Beltran Leyva, Hector, and
Carlos Beltran Leyva. He learned the drug business in late 80s such as cocaine working alongside Amado Carrillo Fuentes (Lord of the Skies) leader of the Juarez Cartel. Where he earned the name (El Ayudante).
