Gerda Salazar (died 1995) was one of the leaders of the Norte del Valle cartel and the matriarch of the Salazar family.
Her children Claudio, Duvan and Raul were high ranking members of the Norte del Valle cartel. After Claudio was killed by Cali cartel leader Pacho Herrera in 1994, his wife Maria became Cali cartel leader Miguel Rodríguez Orejuela's mistress. Maria had Jorge Salcedo and Navegante forcefully kidnap her son Pedro from Gerda and take him back to Cali.
Seeking revenge for the murder of Claudio, Gerda convinced Orlando Henao Montoya to form an alliance with Amado Carrillo Fuentes, the leader of the Juárez cartel of Mexico. As part of the deal, Amado gave away the location of Pacho's hiding place in Mexico, and Gerda sent an armed convoy of sicarios to kill Pacho. Pacho survived the assault, but his brother Alvaro was severely wounded and suffered a complete lower body paralysis.
Enraged, Pacho had the Cali cartel assault Salazar's compound, and had Gerda's remaining sons killed. When he confronted Gerda, she called his brother a half-man, prompting Pacho to shoot her in the head.
