John Clay Walker (died 1985) was an American aspiring novelist and former US Marine.
He and his friend, Alberto Radelat traveled to the Mexican city of Guadalajara in January 1985 to work on Walker's first novel. While dining late night at a seafood restaurant, they were suspected to be DEA agents by Rafael Caro Quintero, one of the leaders of the Guadalajara cartel; and were brutally murdered by Caro Quinerto, Cochiloco and Cuco. Walker managed to take out an attacker after Radelat was shot, but was eventually overpowered and was stabbed to death with an icepick.
