The Los Priscos, also known as the Prisco gang was a criminal organization which functioned as one of the armed wings of the Medellín cartel. The gang was led by respected doctor Ricardo Prisco, and was involved in heavily involved in assassinations and drug trafficking.
The Priscos were one of the few armed groups which continued to stay loyal to Medellín cartel drug lord Pablo Escobar after his escape from prison in 1992, and as a result the gang was involved in heavy fighting with the Los Pepes paramilitary and the Colombian police. A Search Bloc raid under Horacio Carrillo killed most of the gangs leadership except Ricardo in 1992. Ricardo continued to stay loyal to Escobar till his death in 1993 on the hands of Escobar's top sicario La Quica, who planned to defect.
