Maritza Rincón (died 1993) was a Colombian florist who lived in Midtown

In 1992, her friend El Limón asked her to sit in the back of his taxi while he drove around the city carrying most wanted drug lord Pablo Escobar in the boot. Rosa, one of the prostitutes handled by Limón, rats out La Quica's location to the police. As a result, Quica killed all the prostitutes and later came after Maritza, believing that it was her who ratted him out. Quica and Limón force their way inside Martiza's apartment. Limón finds her but does not disclose her location to Quica. Fearing for her life, Maritza went back to the countryside to live with her mother.

Later, Limón tracks her to the countryside and tells her that he wants to leave the Medellín cartel and urges her to get in contact with the DEA. Through Gabriella, Maritza came in contact with DEA agent Javier Peña and gave him the address of a place where Pablo was scheduled to travel. However, she failed to realize that El Limón was using her to create a trap to lure Colonel Horacio Carrillo. Carrillo and his team were ambushed by the cartel while they were on the way to the location supplied by Maritza, and Escobar personally shot and killed Carrillo. The next day, Maritza is confronted by Escobar, Quica and Limón. Escobar thanked her for the service and paid her in US dollars for her unintentional help.

Javier angrily confronted Maritza, but she pleaded that she was not aware of Limón's real intentions. To prove her innocence, she met Limón at a restaurant, allowing the DEA to follow him. However, Javier refused to provide her a visa to escape the country. The next year, she is visited by Limón, who at that point was the sole remaining member of the Medellín cartel besides Escobar. He asked her for the money which Escobar had given her the previous year, but Maritza lies, saying that she spent it. After he discovered the bluff, he angrily shoots Maritza and collects the money. However, after seeing her daughter Salome, he throws some of the money on the bed and leaves.
