Ricardo Prisco (died April 1993) was a Colombian doctor and the leader of the Los Priscos criminal organization.
Despite being a respected member of the medical community, Prisco secretly led a criminal organization allied with the Medellín cartel. It was not uncommon for Prisco and his brothers to torture rival cartel members using medical equipment from his hospital. Prisco remained allied to Pablo Escobar after his escape from prison in 1992, and led his gang in a raid which killed Jaime Mendoza, one of Escobar's former associates who defected following Escobar's escape.
Prisco's brothers suffered from high lethargy due to their cocaine addiction. As a result, his brother Edgar disregarded Prisco's orders using satellite phones and used telephones to contact him, resulting in the Search Bloc to raid their compound and kill all of Prisco's brothers. Prisco escaped, and continued to work for Escobar.
In December 1992, Prisco survived an assassination attempt by Los Pepes, and used his medical credentials to sneak into a hospital where an injured Los Pepes soldier was held, and tortured him for information; finding out that the Los Pepes is led by Carlos Castaño Gil, and financed by the Cali cartel.
In April 1993, Escobar decided to spend all of his remaining cash to form an army to raid Judy Moncada's mansion to destroy the Los Pepes. He sent Ricardo and his sicario La Quica to gather money from cartel accountant Rojas. However, La Quica decided to betray Escobar, and killed Prisco and Rojas, and fled with the money.
