Trujillo is a Colombian police officer. He belonged to a family of police officers. His father and two brothers were killed by the drug cartels in Colombia.
Trujillo joined the Search Bloc, and stated that his only goal was to see Pablo Escobar dead. He soon began co-operating with the Los Pepes death squad in order for his dreams to come true. He gave away the location of Escobar's lawyer Fernando Duque, despite Javier Peña insisting that Duque be put on witness protection. This led to Duque, his wife and son, and his elderly mother being tortured to death by Los Pepes.
Trujillo took part in the raid on December 2 1993, and fired the final shot which killed Escobar. The following year, he took part in the raid which led to the capture of drug lord Gilberto Rodríguez Orejuela.
